Wanted to explore Rio de Janeiro and this hotel was characterful base for doing it. Liked the way our double room was arranged. The cost was US$ 306. We were greeted by affable, amicable staff. The venue was in a central location very close to Centro close to restaurants and monuments + the bondinho to Santa Teresa, the city centre of Rio, and monuments.
Well, internet connection was weak.

We had an incredible time exploring the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro with our kids, and Hotel Encontros provided the perfect base for our family adventure. The location was ideal, with easy access to the lively Complexo Esportivo do Fluminense - the ultimate playground for soccer-loving kids! Our little ones had a blast kicking the ball around on the soccer field while we soaked up the energetic atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The hot showers and excellent water pressure were a godsend after a long day of sightseeing. Our family truly enjoyed the vibrant energy of Rio while staying at this hotel.
In my wife's opinion, a children's play area would have been a great addition to the hotel. With young kids, it would have been wonderful to have a safe and designated space where they could burn off some energy and have fun.

Great service from the staff, always helpful and accommodating. The room menu offered a variety of food, drinks, and essential items for purchase. The location was convenient, close to a police station, which made us feel safe. Plus, the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us cool during our stay.
The lack of elevators was a drawback, especially for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. The WiFi connection was inconsistent, causing inconvenience and reliance on cellular data.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Rio de Janeiro for a few nights. The Hotel Encontros was the perfect choice for my trip. The cost of the stay was very reasonable and provided excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. One of the best features of the hotel was the free parking, which was a huge convenience. Additionally, there were plenty of nearby restaurants for lunch, and a short walk to Mem de Sa street provided even more options for dinner.
100% Recommend this hotel.
